Hi! My name is Lyra Thompson. I’m an 18-year-old journalist and aspiring author. I'm a student at Southwest Baptist University, majoring in Media Studies. I’ve already had some things published in both print and online. I’ve done an internship for a local magazine, and I’ve had articles posted on various blogs here and there. My first published piece was when I was 12 years old, but I’ve only been serious about getting published the last couple of years.

 

I mostly write features and opinion pieces, but I'll tell a story about anything. I've written about a wide range of topics, from disability to pop culture to anything I find interesting.
